Policy
The overall operating framework of our company is governed by the principles exemplified in the Food Safety Management System (FSMS), the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS). The FSM System is based on the requirements and specifications set by the international standards ISO 22000: 2005, EN ISO 9001: 2015, IFS, the principles of the Codex alimentarius and food law. Respectively, the EM & OHSM Systems are based on the requirements and specifications defined by the international standards ISO 14001: 2004 and OHSAS 18001, the environmental legislation and the legislation on occupational health and safety.
The main focus of all the Systems is the customer and final consumer of the products, the protection of the environment, the guarantee of the health and safety of employees. In particular, the main objectives are the following:
- The preparation of products safe for consumption and the observance of everything agreed upon with the customers.
- The compliance with the requirements of the law on food safety during the preparation and final disposal of the products, as well as with the requirements related to the environmental aspects of all the activities of the company as well as to the occupational health and safety.
- The continuous improvement of the provided services and the overall operation of the FSM, EM and OHSM Systems.
- The operation with awareness of environmental and corporate social responsibility and business ethics.
- The prevention of pollution, the reduction of waste, the minimization of resource consumption, the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. The defining, reviewing and revising of the quality and environmental goals and objectives, as well as of the objectives in the field of occupational health and safety. The promotion of the environmental management and the occupational health and safety management systems among the cooperating suppliers and subcontractors.
- The training and mobilization of employees to carry out their duties both in an environmentally responsible manner, with concern for their safety and with moral responsibility for the safety of the general public.
The achievement of the above is pursued through the basic processes of Quality Systems, providing for actions such as:
- The systematic monitoring of their effectiveness, through the annual reviews of the Management, internal and external inspections.
- The continuous monitoring and control of the materials provided by the suppliers.
- The continuous training and education of the staff.
- The systematic control of the products and the conditions during the preparation and up to the final delivery and the constant analysis of our products by external laboratories.
- The securing of the necessary resources (materials and human).
- The documented search for causes of any problems and weaknesses in order to determine the corrective and / or preventive actions, to avoid their recurrence.

The above policy is implemented, documented, maintained and communicated to all employees, contractors and suppliers and is available to the public. It is also periodically reviewed to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to the nature, size, and environmental impact of all the activities, services and products of the company.
